These are very decadent.
They’re of course easy to make but just require a few specific ingredients.
They’re a lovely (healthy) alternative to store-bought chocolate – you know what’s in it, it’s dairy-free, refined sugar-free, super smooth and delicious.
Not to mention, MUCH more cost-effective if you can refrain from scoffing them all at once!
Note that the quality of your ingredients will effect the taste, so opt for good quality raw cacao & coconut oils (anything linked in purple can be purchased from our shop). Read more about the benefits of CACAO here…it’s just amazing.
Surprise your friends with a taste of these beauties and they will be happy campers!
~ 80g Raw Cacao Butter
~ 3 tbsp Raw Cacao Powder
~ 3 tbsp Raw Almond Butter (or another nut butter of choice)
~ 1 tbsp Coconut Nectar (or your choice of liquid sweetener – maple syrup would be good)
~ 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
~ 1/4 – 1/2 cup Desiccated Coconut
~ Sprinkle of cinnamon
~ Pinch of pink himalayan salt.
~ Melt the cacao butter so it becomes liquid – over a very low heat or in a double boiler.
~ Add cacao, almond butter, coconut nectar and coconut oil to cacao butter in a mixing bowl.
~ Once all mixed in, add the coconut (you can add less or more depending on your taste preference), cinnamon & salt.
~ Mix together really well, taste and add more sweetener if needed.
~ Pop one spoonful of the mixture into ice cube moulds (or mini muffin moulds) and then top up until your desired size is met.
~ Place the tray into the freezer if you’re wanting them to set right away and then they’ll keep nicely in the fridge for a week or so.
