Creamy Autumn Oats with Poached Pear

25mins cooking time⁠

Poached pear:⁠

1 pear⁠
1 cinnamon stick⁠
1 tsp cloves⁠
1 tbsp coconut sugar⁠
3 cups water⁠

1/2 cup rolled oats⁠
1 cup WDOM full cream milk⁠
1/2 tsp cinnamon⁠
1/4 tsp vanilla⁠
1 tsp maple syrup⁠
Pinch of salt⁠

Using a small/medium pot, bring the water, cinnamon stick, coconut sugar and cloves to boil. Once boiling, turn the heat down to medium/low and carefully drop the pear into the water. Poach the pear until soft (approx. 20-25mins). Take out of the water and while cooling, make the oats. ⁠

In a small saucepan place the oats, milk, cinnamon, vanilla, maple and salt and heat on low. Keep stirring until oats begin to thicken and become creamy. ⁠

Transfer cooked oats into a bowl. Top with the poached pear, coconut flakes, pumpkin seeds and a dash of cinnamon. ⁠
