These are a classic. A delicious and moorish tasting bliss ball.
Easy to make with simple ingredients to form a firm and decadent ball.
These are perfect to keep in the fridge for a mid-morning snack with a cuppa, to grab as a pre-workout snack in the afternoon or to keep in the car for those peckish moments.
*I made this latest batch with raw hazelnuts, although to make them a little richer and to allow the natural oils come out, I would advise roasting them and letting some of the skins roll off naturally. This depends on how much time you have and what flavour you’re going for.
You’ll need:
~ 1 large cup raw hazelnuts
~ 6 regular dates (soaked in hot water for about 20mins)
~ 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
~ 1 tbsp coconut oil (melted)
~ 2 tsp sesame seeds
~ Dash of vanilla extract
~ 1/2 tsp himalayan pink salt
How to:
~ Throw hazelnuts and dates into a food processor with a dash of hot water until a rough paste is formed. Scrape the edges, then add all remaining ingredients.
~ Blend this mixture until a smooth sticky mixture is formed.
~ Take spoonfuls at a time and roll into small bite sized balls.
~ Keep in the fridge and enjoy at any time at all.
Enjoy! X
