Blueberry Super Smoothie


That’s really what this is about.

One YUM smoothie.

I make different smoothie combinations regularly, they all (usually) taste great and give me a good hit of energy but this one really takes it to a new level – hence why it gets a published recipe!

SO smooth, SO delicious.

And absolutely FULL of goodness, so is perfect for breakfast or lunch.

The spirulina and cacao help to give you a good clean energy boost with a rich injection of antioxidants & minerals, the oats provide a source of slow-release energy and a creamy texture and the protein keeps us full and sustained all day long.

This recipe is just for 1 big glass (pictured) so just double the ingredients as you need. 

Ingredients (serves 1)

1 frozen banana

1 large handful frozen or fresh blueberries (organic if poss)

1 large leaf kale (with stem removed)

1/2 cup unsweetened coconut or almond milk

1 scoop NuZest chocolate protein powder

1 – 2 tbsp water (or as needed)

1 tbsp rolled oats

1 tbsp LifeFoods spirulina

1 tbsp raw cacao

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 cm fresh ginger (or to taste)

How to:

Throw all ingredients into a high-speed blender, blend until smooth.

Add more water or milk if you like it runnier.

Enjoy immediately or pop it in the fridge for later, but beware the chia seeds may gel and make it even thicker the longer you leave it.
