Picture this: you’ve got back-to-back meetings, you’re racing around (if you’re not attending a meeting on Zoom), battling the traffic, and trying to find somewhere to park. Your stomach starts to rumble and you check your watch … you’ve forgotten to eat lunch! Sound familiar?
We’ve included Annies 100% Fruit Snacks in our I AM Co. Delight Box for four years now, and we’ve discovered they are the perfect savour for moments like this.
But let’s be honest, not every convenient snack is made equal so it can be difficult to distinguish the good from the not so good, especially when we’re time poor.
We decided to take a closer look at the ingredients list of Annies fruit snacks to see if they are as nutritional as they are convenient.
Found in: Annies Fruit Flats – Summer Fruits
Apricots are full of nutrients such as Vitamin A, E, copper and magnesium.. Their magnesium content also acts as a natural anxiety-buster and can help to calm tense muscles. In addition, apricots are full of antioxidants which can help fight infection.
Found in: All Annies Fruit Snacks
All Annies fruit snacks are made with an apple pulp base (including the skin) – which are rich in fibre, vitamins, and minerals, all of which benefit health. They also provide an array of antioxidants which help neutralize free radicals.
Found in: Annies Fruit Jerky, Fruit Strips and Boysenberry Fruit Bars
Aside from being delicious in tarts, smoothies, yoghurts and ice cream, boysenberries include countless health benefits too. They have a high antioxidant content which may help prevent major degenerative diseases. They also contain phytochemicals (naturally occurring compounds) which aid against diseases such as heart disease and cancer. These phytochemicals boost immunity, as well as aid with dietary fibre, eyesight, reducing inflammation and assisting in the reduction of blood cholesterol levels.

This delicious fruit does more than just conjure up images of palm-lined white sandy beaches! The tropical mango is a low-calorie fruit, packed with fibre and containing good levels of Vitamins A and C. They are a great source of antioxidants and some studies have shown benefits of dried mango boosting immunity, reducing inflammation, and lowering blood sugar levels.
Found in: Annies Fruit Jerky, Fruit Strips, Mango Passion Fruit Bars
Aside from its lovely aroma – often used in soaps or candles, passionfruit packs a nutritional treat too. With a high level of Vitamin C, this antioxidant helps your body make cartilages, blood vessels and collagen – keeping your skin youthful. It also lowers inflammation by helping your body to heal and protecting your cells from damage. Passionfruit also contains Vitamin A – great for eye health, reproduction and immunity, and the all-important fibre.
Found in: Annies Berry Fruit Flats, Fruit Jerky, Fruit Strips, Raspberry Fruit Bars
Raspberries are packed with nutrients and low in calories – a whole cup is just 63 calories! Raspberries are known to regulate blood sugar levels, help with flighting cancer and chronic diseases, and with boosting your brain! They are also great for your gut health and, as they contain the antioxidant zeaxanthin (which helps filter out harmful blue light rays) they may play a role in protecting the eyes from medical issues such as age-related macular degeneration.
Strawberries are a rich source of potassium, antioxidants, fibre and Vitamin C. This small but delicious fruit helps to improve overall health, but particularly to reduce the risk of cancer. A study conducted at Harvard University concluded that regular consumption of anthocyanins (an antioxidant compound found in strawberries) can reduce the risk of heart attack by up to 32% in young and middle-aged women.
We love that Annies Fruit Snacks are made only with fruit and have no added concentrates, preservatives, colouring or flavours. They are proof that convenience doesn’t come at the expense of health benefits and naturally made.
