We’re so spoilt to have such an amazing range of cafes serving some hugely delicious, healthy food from a wide variety of cultures. Whether you’re looking for a buttery traditional French pastry or a modern twist on some of the French classics then look no further than this contemporary seaside brasserie in St Heliers.
La Fourchette or ‘the fork’ is an opportunity for owners Natalie and Romain Le Gal to share their passion for French food and wine. Romain, from the coastal town of Pornichet, welcomed the chance to open a family-friendly neighbourhood brasserie reminiscent of those he worked in back home. St Heliers village offers the ideal setting to introduce people to the sumptuous flavours of French cuisine.
This is really the place where you’ll find something for everyone. They’ve even developed their own patisserie range! Now that’s worth trying, everything in moderation huh?
For one smoothie bowl
- Jumbo rolled oats 100g
- Sesame 10g
Pumpkin seeds 10g
- Pecan nuts 10g
- Shaved coconut 10g
- Hazelnut 10g
- Sliced almond 10g
- Maple syrup 20g
- Olive oil 8g
Roast all the nuts, oats on flat trays as spread as possible 8 minutes at 160C
When everything is toasted mix in the maple syrup, olive oil and shaved coconut into a bowl. Leave to cool down.
While the granola is cooling down you can get the smoothie ready
- Fresh mango diced 75g
- Pineapple chunks 30g
- Coconut yogurt 15g
- Almond milk 35g
- Agave syrup 25g
Blend all the ingredients until smooth and pour it into the bowl.
Garnish the smoothie with the granola and add any fresh fruits you feel like. Here we use kiwi, apple, dates and berries.
