It’s been said time and time again that attaining a morning ritual or taking solo time before the pressures of the day begin, can truly help success, productivity and happiness. 

Call us nosy, but we’ve always been curious about how other people spend their mornings before they arrive in the public eye, polished for their day.  

We wonder, what did they eat for breakfast? Did they meditate? Did they stretch? Did they hit snooze? Did they have to only worry about themselves or a family…? So many curious questions!

Follow along as we step into the mornings of a wide range of successful ladies from all over and to uncover what habits put the spring in their morning step…

Tell us, what does your morning look like as you roll out of bed, upon rising…

My alarm goes at 3.20am and I get up at 3.30am!  I do a few stretches while i’m still in bed.
I then get up and moisturise. Make a lemon, ginger green tea and go into my lounge area for my morning routine. This consists of spinal mobility, sun salutes and a three phased meditation.
My morning routine is the pivotal part of my day. The time I connect with myself.  Take care of my body, and set the mindset to get the best out of my day. I’m passionate about it. That why I developed the App to encourage others to have an amazing day every day!

What’s the first thing you drink?

Water! About 500ml, followed by lemon and ginger drink.

What’s the first thing you eat?

Usually eggs and avocado at around 5am.

How do you most like to move your body in the morning?

The very first thing I do are ankle and wrist rotations. Then roll downs, side bends, back bends and rotations to mobilise my spine. A general yoga routine. 

How important is stillness or ‘quiet space’ first thing?

Vital! A chance to check in, see where I am at that morning. If there is any residue from the day before or dreams I may have had, worries I might have. Then set the tone for the day. Find my ‘happy’ each day. Stillness helps me to come to my essence.

Describe your ultimate morning…no kids, no obligations…

I am very blessed and have my ultimate morning most mornings. But I must say, most Sunday’s are my ultimate. I sleep in a little later than usual, do my morning routine, then a leisurely breakfast. On Sunday I add a freshly baked croissant! Love it. Freshly brewed coffee and then off to the gym. Now that’s a perfect morning!

Eggs! Scrambled, sometimes with salmon. Always with avocado, spinach and tomatoes. Sometimes with Paleo toast. Yum!!
