It’s been said time and time again that attaining a morning ritual or taking solo time before the pressures of the day begin, can truly help success, productivity and happiness.
Call us nosy, but we’ve always been curious about how other people spend their mornings before they arrive in the public eye, polished for their day.
We wonder, what did they eat for breakfast? Did they meditate? Did they stretch? Did they hit snooze? Did they have to only worry about themselves or a family…? So many curious questions!
Follow along as we step into the mornings of a wide range of successful ladies from all over and to uncover what habits put the spring in their morning step…
This week, we’re lucky enough to peek into the mornings of Isabelle Reuss, the beauty behind My Goodness Berlin – a beautiful and inspiring foodie biz in Berlin, Germany.
My Goodness Berlin provides health-seekers with vegan snack packages, plans, meal delivery and a soon-to-be cafe, all served up with a message of LOVE!
Upon rising…
What do you drink?
I always have a bottle of water next to my bed and drink between 500ml to a whole litre of water. It just wakes everything up and rehydrates. Then I will put the kettle on and have some hot water and half a lemon squeezed in. I’m all about the morning fluids!
What do you eat?
This changes but one thing is sure… I NEVER miss breakfast! It’s my favourite meal. I am normally a smoothie bowl kind of girl or porridge… depending on what the day entails. My favourite breakfast normally includes blueberries, banana, some form of coconut and almond butter.
How do you move?
Again this changes throughout the week. I am a big morning work out person. I love to start the day with sport. My favourite way to start the day is to go for a run in the park and include some HIIT bootcamp style with my girlfriends who also happen to live in my building. Other than that I am big spinning fan… but that is normally later in the day.
Do you have a practice of stillness or quiet?
Absolutely. The morning is rather a sacred time for me… My breakfast time is my me time! I always think that an attitude of gratitude is the best way to start the day. Thinking of all the things you are thankful for, big and small. I am not a big meditator… I think a lot when I’m running.
