It’s been said time and time again that attaining a morning ritual or taking solo time before the pressures of the day begin, can truly help success, productivity and happiness.
Call us nosy, but we’ve always been curious about how other people spend their mornings before they arrive in the public eye, polished for their day.
We wonder, what did they eat for breakfast? Did they meditate? Did they stretch? Did they hit snooze? Did they have to only worry about themselves or a family…? So many curious questions!
Follow along as we step into the mornings of a wide range of successful ladies from all over and to uncover what habits put the spring in their morning step…
This week we have the beautiful Emily Gallagher, life and business coach for women in the wellness industry…
At 29 years old, this vibrant and positive lady is a business coach to women in wellness and passionate about helping people expand their minds, hearts, businesses and lives.
Tell us, what does your morning look like as you roll out of bed…
I wake up, I read my daily lesson from A Course In Miracles (a spiritual development book), I pull a couple of angel cards, then meditate for 5-15 minutes depending, focus on gratitude & set intentions for the day.
What’s the first thing you drink?
Apple cider vinegar with warm water.
What’s the first thing you eat?
Either a smoothie or eggs with avo & walnuts.
How do you most like to move your body in the morning?
Depends if I am at the gym- I will take a class, or if I am at home I will go for a walk outside & maybe finish with some weights.
How important is stillness or ‘quiet space’ first thing?
The most important. The way we start our day has the power to determine how the rest of our day unravels, if we do not create stillness to tune into ourselves & our intentions, the day can run us.
The stillness is a beautiful time to create your mindset, see the day how you want it to be & decide how you’re going to show up.
Describe your ultimate morning…no kids, no obligations…
Sleep in until about 8:30/ 9am, wake up, meditate, dance – this shakes up the energy & puts you in a powerful mindset. Then a workout & a delicious breakfast…
Please share your favourite breakfast recipe…what’s your go-to?
I have a sweet tooth but also love to be healthy, so I love ‘Coconut Oil Chocolate’…healthy, fast & delicious!
Literally just coconut oil, I use a bit of Nuzest protein shake, some raw cacao then some nuts or whatever you want to mix with it. Then freeze & it’s ready 5 minutes later!
