We’re obsessed with hearing about what other people eat all day everyday and we just know that you’re all as curious as we are! There’s something so intriguing about knowing the secrets of a healthy foodie. Follow along with this series where we find out what a wide range of successful health-loving ladies eat in a day.

This week we chat with the beautiful Stephanie (Steph) Naran, owner and founder of Studio Sixteen Pilates, a fitness based studio offering reformer Pilates to men and woman of all ages. Her goal is to keep fitness fun and to remove the clinical feel by keeping things fast paced and turning up the music. Steph hasn’t always been in the fitness industry, she comes from a background in flight attending (a physically demanding job), and human resources (hunched over a computer most of the day). Both experiences lead her to find Pilates. She noticed  improvements both physically and mentally  and wanted to make others feel the same way.  

Your go-to brekkie is…

I can’t go without breakfast. On a work day I’ll have muesli with a sprinkle of maca powder. On the weekends when I have a little more time in the mornings I’ll have eggs on paleo bread.

Your go-to lunch is…

I get bored easily so I swap between avocado on rice wafers, greek salad with feta and olives, or a wrap.

Your go-to dinner is…

Living by the beach my Fiance has been catching a lot of fish which is my absolute favourite. We always have some sort of protein, salad and vegetables.

Dessert or no dessert…

Not all the time but in winter a freshly baked apple crumble with cinnamon and cream. In summer a baked banana stuffed with chocolate buttons and marshmallows.

What you reach for when a snack attack hits…

Sounds really strange but raw corn when it’s in season. If you haven’t tried raw corn do it, it is life changing.

Your fave foodie destination…

Overseas – Philippines! Their history is hugely influenced by Western America, Spain and Japan so there is a variety of different cuisine including their traditional Filipino meals.

New Zealand – The Tasting Shed or Blue Breeze Inn.

Three foods you can’t live without…

Cheese, olives, golden kumara.

Your ultimate foodie indulgence…

I could write a very long list!

  • Kiwi onion dip
  • Strawberry frozen yoghurt
  • Lemon for my gin & tonics
  • Potatoes in every possible form!

The recipe that’ll always get you drooling is…

It’s a tie between mum’s homemade pumpkin soup or dad’s prawn curry & roti. My dad is Indian so we had a lot of curries growing up. All are secret recipes I don’t even know them…yet!
