Your go-to brekkie is…

If I’m running late or don’t have much time I whip up a smoothie, my go to usually consists of protein powder (I use plant based, much gentler on my tummy), Frozen banana (wee tip: using a frozen banana makes the mixture more creamier and smooth), Spinach and coconut yoghurt. So delish. If it’s my day off I love to spend time creating my own Smoothie bowls, so many easy and healthy varieties you can make!!

Your go-to lunch is…

Shift work plays havic on my meal schedule so I’m usually more a brunch goer than lunch. I enjoy catching up with friends over a brunch in the city. There are so many new cafes popping up here in Christchurch that I love testing out. I usually opt for a sweet option for lunch and the waffles from Westend Stories always call my name, if you’re in Christchurch you need to try them out!

Your go-to dinner is…

I can’t say no to a pizza, even better when they’re homemade. My favourite type to make is satay sauce for the base, roasted kumara, black beans, spinach, mushrooms, cashew nuts and cream cheese!

Dessert or no dessert…

Of course! I have a huge sweet tooth (I’m talking easily demolishes a block of chocolate in a matter of minutes) So I try create my own healthier desserts when I’m at home. I love making Nice cream, using Bananas and coconut yoghurt- flavouring with a protein powder. Although I can’t turn down an ice cream on a hot summer’s day.

What you reach for when a snack attack hits…

I’m a big snacker, with my job I work odd hours so my meals don’t always align with breakfast, lunch and dinner. I like to have healthy snacks on hand while I’m at work to stop me reaching for the biscuit draw. I love carrot sticks and Cocomanuts peanutbutter. For a sweet treat I like to dip fruit pieces in yoghurt and pop in the freezer for a bit, healthy but delicious.

Your fave foodie destination…

That would have to be Bali. I love everything about this place, from the culture, the vibes and most of all the delicious food. Bali is also a plant based foodies dream. With so many organic and purely plant based cafes. I live off fresh fruit and smoothie bowls while I’m there. Already planning my next trip based around cafes I need to visit. The vegan pancakes from BaliBola were not only the most beautifully presented pancakes I’ve laid my eyes on but were hands down the best I’ve had in my life!

Three foods you can’t live without…

Chocolate, Bananas and Pizza. Bananas are so versatile. They’re great for snacks, smoothies and in baking. Chocolate… need I say more.

Your ultimate foodie indulgence…

That sweet tooth is calling again. I love roaming around Christchurch finding delicious raw slices to indulge in.

The recipe that’ll always get you drooling is…

My mum’s homemade chocolate self saucing pudding. The only request I have when I go back home, there’s nothing better than homemade meals.
