Renee Diment

We’re obsessed with hearing about what other people eat all day every day and we just know that you’re all as curious as we are! There’s something so intriguing about knowing the secrets of a healthy foodie. Follow along with this series where we find out what a wide range of successful health-loving ladies eat in a day.

Renee is young mum to a beautiful little girl and is passionate about helping people every day online and in my home-based studio become healthier versions of themselves. Renee is a health and fitness professional, BSc nutrition student as well as an aspiring YouTuber, with the aim to help share her message and empower women. As well as all of that she has a passion for acting and attends coaching classes and auditions to hopefully someday also make it on the big screen. Life is busy, but she wouldn’t have it any other way and that’s why it’s important for Renee to eat a well balanced healthy diet so she can function, feel good with energy too burn, without restricting herself from chocolate and pizza!

Your go-to brekkie is…

My go-to brekkie is definitely oats, I can not start my day without them, even when we go away on holiday if it’s within the country I will always take my oats, LSA, protein and oat bowl to make them!

Lately, my oats recipe is 40g of oats, cinnamon, cashew milk, ½ banana mashed, topped with frozen blueberries, 1 tsp of crunchy peanut butter and my “oats sprinkle”. In a pot I place oats, cinnamon, a pinch of salt with hot water and 150ml of cashew milk, I will stir until it starts to boil, then mix through the mashed banana and cook for another couple of minutes. Once the oats have cooked I will then place them in a bowl and top with my favourite toppings as mentioned. I honestly always feel so full and satisfied for hours after eating this!.

Your go-to lunch is…

My go-to lunch is usually always a  nourish bowl when I am working from home. I will usually have ingredients such as roast kumara, carrots, beets, precooked brown rice or quinoa, chopped veg in the fridge and spend 5-10 minutes putting together a colourful bowl of goodness. I will usually serve my nourish bowl with a source of protein such as chicken, fish, tofu or a plant-based burger patty.

Your go-to dinner is…

At the moment I am loving fresh start by Nadia Lim, it’s working so well for our busy weeks at the moment. My partner is taking on a new business and I am also running my own small business as well as part-time studying and looking after our daughter, so this has been great for convenience as well as giving us nutritious healthy options that are quick and full of flavour.

If I am cooking dinner however I absolutely love to get creative and play around making healthy recipes from old school classics! My go-to would have to be beetroot plant-based burgers on hemp buns with loads of avocado!!

Dessert or no dessert…

DESSERT IS A MUST !! I love dessert, it will either be a small hand-cut fruit salad or creamy caramel Whittaker’s chocolate. I am a sucker for anything salted caramel!

What you reach for when a snack attack hits…

My go-to snack is chopped cucumber and carrot with hummus or crunchy peanut butter on rice cakes.

Your fave foodie destination…

Hands down Little Bird Unbakery…they know me and even my daughter now because we eat there so much.

Three foods you can’t live without…

Oats

Salmon

Sweet potato

Your ultimate foodie indulgence…

Raw cacao brownie from little bird for something sweet and for something savoury, homemade kumara chips with a small sprinkle of mozzarella cheese melted topped with smashed avocado.

The recipe that’ll always get you drooling is…

My chocolate vegan cake!!!! YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW THE DIFFERENCE, it’s so good!
