 This week we chat to the lovely Rachel Grunwell, face behind Inspired Health.

Rachel is a mum, an award-winning journalist, Good magazine’s wellness columnist and healthy recipe chick, speaker on all things wellbeing-related, a qualified yoga teacher, multi-marathoner (X19) and a wellness ambassador for Cigna insurance. She gives back to the community by helping disabled athletes to participate in running events from fun runs to marathons. She recently went with a team of disabled athletes to the New York Marathon. 

Your go-to brekkie is…

Home-made muesli, yoghurt & fruit. This is also sometimes an afternoon snack if I don’t have it for breakfast!

  1. Your go-to lunch is…

  2. Salad, eggs, salmon, avo on gluten-free toast. I pick greens and herbs every day from my garden in Mt Eden, Auckland, which I call my Garden of Eden. It’s small, but full of herbs, veg, flowers and fruits…
  3. Your go-to dinner is…

  4. Salad,  some kind of protein like fish, salmon etc and carbs like kumara.
  5. Dessert or no dessert…

  6. Always dessert. Chocolate is my THING. Can not live without it!

What you reach for when a snack attack hits…

Nuts, home-made raw food slices, smoothie, or dark chocolate.

  1. Your fave foodie destination…

  2. A raw food cafe. Thai food. Or anywhere that serves fresh, flavoursome kai.
  3. Three foods you can’t live without…

  4. Chocolate, blueberries, macadamias
  5. Your ultimate foodie indulgence…

  6. Chocolate ANYTHING.
