Your go-to brekkie is…
A medicinal mushroom tonic! I love waking up to these (I was a coffee fan and needed my 1 a day but I also got headaches if I didn’t have it) After much deliberation I gave up and feel so much better in general with stable energy levels through out the day and not a massive craving for chocolate the hour after I had it! I simple warm coconut milk on the stove and then put in the blender with 2 tsp Nutraorganics Collagen Powder, 1 tsp Superfeast Masons Mushrooms, 1 tsp Jing, 1 tsp raw cacao and 2 drops Doterra cinnamon essential oil. Usually I’m busy getting the kids organized for school and setting myself up for a day of work so I make it just before I do the kindy/school run and take it in a flask. So filling and satisfying!
Your go-to lunch is…
I’m a big fan of a Buddha bowl for lunch! This usually entails leftover roast vegies, whatever greens and herbs I’ve got growing in the garden with a few different toppings like fermented vegies (sauerkraut, kimchi) avocado, beetroot humus, pesto. Its all about those condiments right! I find if I make a couple of varieties at the start of the week I have lunch options even though I’m using the same base ingredients. Best eaten outside!
Your go-to dinner is…
Dinner can be a fully loaded omelet, a curry, or another buddha bowl variety. I have two kids who seem to eat more when its coming off my plate haha; so we are big fans of making a share platter with olives, hummus, vegie sticks, guacamole. On the side there might be some brown rice that’s been cooked in bone broth or wraps (I make these from the leftover juice pulp blended with flaxseed and then dehydrate) Sometimes if dad’s caught fish that might feature too.
Dessert or no dessert…
Not usually dessert but if I feel do like something sweet I might have a couple of squares of Green and Blacks 85% dark chocolate. I’m more into a cup of herbal tea in the evening though.
What you reach for when a snack attack hits…
I’m a huge fan of a smoothie! Typically avocado based with spinach or kale, berries of some sort, a slosh of coconut water or coconut milk and then a TBS of Nutraorangics Vanilla Protein powder. Hits the spot every time!
Your fave foodie destination…
Byron Bay – love that place. So many amazing foodie spots! They have so many tasty, healthy options plus everytime I’ve been its so warm. Makes a big difference eating a smoothie bowl in the sun, rather than under my heater like I do at the moment haha
Three foods you can’t live without…
Avocado, leafy greens and raw cacao
Your ultimate foodie indulgence…
I am an extreme fan of the chocolate peppermint combo – Raw chocolate peppermint slice gets me every time!
The recipe that’ll always get you drooling is…
My easy mango sorbet!
1.5 cups frozen mango blended with a good squeeze of lime and ½ cup Daily Organics Lemon and Ginger Kombucha! So refreshing and tasty
