Your go-to brekkie is…

A superfood-packed smoothie. I like to add organic banana, gluten-free muesli, frozen cubed mango or frozen berries, maca, LSA, psyllium husk, Dr Wilson’s Adrenal Power Powder, cacao and ice then blend ’til smooth.

Cacao Raspberry SmoothieYour go-to lunch is…

If I’m out and about I’ll grab the Parsi Eggs at MINK Café in Parnell which are scrambled eggs with chilli, red onion, tomatoes, turmeric, ginger and coriander on gluten-free toast OR Wise Cicada’s new Tofu Dengaku has become a fast fave presently! If I’m home I might whip up a vegan curry (tofu, tempeh, carrot, potato, green beans, onion, broccoli, coriander, coconut milk and either green, red or yellow curry paste), or a Little Bird Organics salad from the fridge that I grabbed the day before or that morning whilst out and about. Depending on how I’m feeling I might add a little haloumi, tempeh, falafel or tofu to up the protein.

Your go-to dinner is…

Roasted vegetables with goat feta. I chop up potatoes, yams, butternut pumpkin, mushrooms, brussel sprouts and red onion, toss in a bit of olive oil, Himalayan salt and some balsamic vinegar and roast them up. Add a bit of goat feta and maybe a little basil pesto to serve.

Kraut SaladDessert or no dessert…

No dessert presently, I just don’t feel like I need it at the moment. I’m 7 months pregnant and eating so well in terms of nutrition and nourishment that my sugar and sweet cravings have all disappeared!

What you reach for when a snack attack hits…

Some Little Bird Organics crackers with hummus or a rice thin with avocado, tomato and a little cracked pepper and Himalayan salt.

Your fave foodie destination…

Little Bird Organics in Ponsonby, Wise Cicada in Newmarket, Mondays Wholefoods in Kingsland and the recently discovered Street Organics in Takapuna!

Three foods you can’t live without…

Tempeh, Brown Rice and Coconut Water/Milk/Cream/Oil.

Your ultimate foodie indulgence…

I LOVE going for dinner at Cibo in Parnell. Their head chef Kate Fay is Coeliac and so their entire menu can be made gluten-free which is just a dream! They even have a separate gluten-free fryer! My favourite meal at Cibo is their phenomenal beetroot and haloumi salad, honestly, I must have had it 30 times or more and I still crave it! If I’m feeling like a bit of a treat I might order a side of gluten-free fries to accompany – heavenly!

Cibo Beetroot SaladThe recipe that’ll always get you drooling is…

A raw caramel slice or anything with coconut! I’m loving my subscription wholefoods baking service from The Wholesome Co. right now – super simple!
