Jane Lowe

We’re obsessed with hearing about what other people eat all day erryday and we just know that you’re all as curious as we are! There’s something so intriguing about knowing the secrets of a healthy foodie. Follow along with this new series where we find out what a wide range of successful health-loving ladies eat in a day.

This week we catch up with the beautiful Jane Lowe, glowing face behind The Yoga Connection.

Jane is the founder of The Yoga Connection, a website hub that holds info for all NZ yoga studios, events (including workshops, retreats, courses and health and wellness happenings), a community blog, personal blog and regular Featured Yogis. There is also a new Product Love page with reviews, discount codes and fave items on the way! Jane is a passionate practitioner (although often gets the class time wrong) and is a big supporter of what’s happening in the NZ yoga scene! She loves growing her social platforms and keeps forgetting that people can actually see her Insta stories…

Your go-to brekkie is…

Oats, always! Hot or cold with nut or coconut milk, fruit and nuts. Every day 🙂

Your go-to lunch is…

Oh dear, less of a go-to, more of what’s around. I usually just pick or eat peanut butter out of the jar unless I’m out for a meeting. Yay for lunch meetings!

Your go-to dinner is…

The most ‘cooking’ I do these days is to roast whatever vegetables I’ve got or else as it gets warmer, eat a salad with added nuts or seeds. Or I repeat breakfast (I know!).

Roast VegetablesDessert or no dessert…

I eat dark chocolate all day, every day. So no dessert as such and I try not to eat the chocolate at night as it doesn’t help my sleep issues.

What you reach for when a snack attack hits…

Fruit, nuts, carrots, the inevitable PB out of the jar and dark choc. Wow.

Your fave foodie destination…

I adore all the raw, healthy options we have in Auckland and regularly eat at The Raw Kitchen, Little Bird Organics and Greenleaf Organics. For fun dinners, we’re regulars at Coco’s Cantina on K’Road. And I stock up on my latest addiction of dark chocolate coated almonds from the GoodFor store!

Greenleaf OrganicsThree foods you can’t live without…

Fruit, vegetables and dark choc. Oh, and coffee!

Your ultimate foodie indulgence…

Having someone else put together a huge salad with all the good things in it, a glorious dressing and something sweet to follow. Honestly I just love good, plant-based food. I’m lazy, but healthy!

The recipe that’ll always get you drooling is…

Something someone else has put together for me 🙂 But a good curry or dumplings are always welcome.
