Your go-to brekkie is…

My cacao smoothie that I have every morning, I am addicted to it! I blend 2 handfuls of spinach, 1/4 of a fresh beetroot (I always keep a container of peeled and sliced beetroot in my fridge), a scoop of vanilla protein powder (Nuzest), cacao powder, frozen banana, ice, water and any other superfoods that are in my cupboard, such as maca powder or spirulina. While I am making my smoothie I eat a handful of cashew nuts; the healthy fats make my smoothie digest slower and keep me feeling full for longer.

Choc Smoothie BowlYour go-to lunch is…

I always make sure I have one big salad everyday and usually this tends to be at lunchtime. I fill a large bowl with a mix of green leafy and other salad vegetables, top it off with half an avocado, feta cheese, roasted nuts and seeds then make a quick dressing from organic balsamic vinegar and Greek yoghurt. If I am extra hungry then I’ll fry up a couple of eggs in coconut oil to add to it. I absolutely love this salad!

Fave SaladYour go-to dinner is…

I tend to keep my dinners during the week pretty simple and then go a little crazy with new ideas on the weekend. My go-to weekday dinner that I have all the time is a chicken and vegetable stirfry. I love a good stirfry because it is easy to make, you can make use of seasonal produce and it’s such a great way to use up veggies from the fridge before doing a food shop. I’ll usually marinate the chicken in a simple homemade sauce then add tamari at the end. Lately I have been absolutely loving this Vietnamese Chicken and Vegetable Stirfry, deeelicious!

Stir FryDessert or no dessert…

Dessert for sure… Healthy desserts! My love for desserts (and making healthy alternatives of something unhealthy) was the whole reason behind starting a blog.

What you reach for when a snack attack hits…

I always grab a handful of raw nuts, usually cashew nuts which are my fave (or macadamia nuts if I splurge at the supermarket). Because of all the healthy fats and protein in nuts I find them super filling and satisfying.

Your fave foodie destination…

I am going to have to say New Zealand! Having spent the last 3 years living in Dubai where fresh healthy food was pretty hard to find, I am loving all the new cafes that have popped up around Auckland that offer nutritious and fresh food that seriously tastes delicious too. My fave café would definitely have to be Misters in Auckland city. They make the most amazing raw cheesecakes you have ever tasted!

Misters CheesecakeThree foods you can’t live without…

Cashew nuts, spinach and avocado. I could probably live of these 3 foods alone.

Your ultimate foodie indulgence…

Healthy Homemade Fruit & Nut Chocolate that I make almost every weekend, I savour every mouthful and easily demolish half of it in one sitting.

The recipe that’ll always get you drooling is…

The Raw Chocolate Mousse Cake from my blog! Every time someone makes this and sends me a photo I drool and day dream about eating it.
