Chenyang is a 20 year old born in Auckland who is now studying for her BSc Chemistry at UCL in London. Alongside this, she is a NASM qualified Personal Trainer with a passion for everything health, fitness and food related! Having struggled with her own fitness journey and learning from her achievements and mistakes, she hopes to use her experience and knowledge to help out as many people as possible. To help others reach their fitness goals without all the unnecessary obstacles they’d face alone is her top priority. Your go to breakfast is…
I’m a big sucker for a smoothie bowl or protein pancakes! I love making my own with frozen bananas, protein powder, oats, chia seeds and yoghurt, topped with berries and a generous heap of NUT BUTTERS! (peanut and almond butters for the win!). Here I have my usual protein pancake mix in a thinner batter and made into crepes! Although saying this, I’m also super indecisive and love myself a savory breakfast too of smoked salmon, avo and eggs on seeded toast. Breakfast is for sure my favourite meal 😀
Your go to lunch is…
Ahh honestly I love all types of food too much to have a go-to, but I’d say I’m always up for a nice buddah macro bowl.. Thinking roasted veggies, quinoa, couscous, avo, hummus, chickpeas, tempeh, tofu, seafood etc you get it!
Your go to dinner is…
For dinners I love anything that’s asian fusion! Teriyaki salmon is a staple for me paired with rice and a side of greens!
Dessert or no dessert?
Yesss I always have a sweet tooth after dinner, my go to is usually greek yoghurt topped with frozen berries, nut butters and granola (just having a second breakfast to end my day haha)
What you reach for when a snack attack hits?
I love love bliss balls!
Your fav foodie destination?
Easily Bali!!! The food there was gorgeous, I managed to have a starter, two mains and dessert there…
Three foods you can’t live without…
Greek Yoghurt, Nut Butters and Bananas
Your ultimate foodie indulgence?
Any raw baking (caramel slices yess) and banana bread/cake… my absolute favourite. Pineapple on pizza (I know.. super debatable) is also a big yes from me!!
The recipe that will always get you drooling is…
Ah for my sweet tooth I’ve always been a sucker for banana bread, or anything baked with bananas in them!! Savoury wise I go through phases but right now, definitely this vegan pizza I had in Ubud, it had this cashew cheese on it that tasted like a dream!!
